For more than 25 years, Griendling Communications helped companies, entrepreneurs and organizations in both private enterprises and public service communicate effectively to gain attention and recognition with their customers, industry analysts and the media.
I am now retired and focus my energies on my hobbies, including cycling, cooking and music. I also like to stay engage in my communities, advocating as a volunteer for policies that keep my towns, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Evergreen, Colorado, scaled for the individual.
I’m also concentrating on more personal writing, some of which I will share in newspaper columns, magazine articles and on my personal blog. I started blogging in 2004 and at the time Commonwealth Commonsense concentrated on the state politics of Virginia, where I lived for more than 20 years. Observations about journalism began to dominate my writing to the point where I launched a separate blog called News Commonsense. The archives of those blogs are consolidated on my current blog, bobgriendling.com, where I discuss a variety of topics. I invite you to join the conversation.
I previous wrote a bicycling column for the Tampa Bay Times.
I have three children, all above average, of course, and a wonderful wife, Karla, who has put up with me for almost 35 years. I’m pretty damn lucky.
